My name’s Dave Tillotson. Serving Harrogate, North Yorkshire and further afield, I design and build websites, design brands and produce professional creative print design that’ll get you noticed. How much does a website cost?

You wouldn’t ask a car salesman “How much does a car cost?” They’ll ask what is it needed for, how fast do you want it to go, do you want leather seats with that? In the same way, the cost of a new website will vary, depending on what you are looking for… a simple brochure website or a full ecommerce delivery.

Then there’s everything in between. Some brochure sites require significant bespoke design elements or additional functionality which goes beyond the basics. An ecommerce website might only sell a handful of products… or several thousand. The majority of my clients are start ups or small businesses, so I offer very competitive entry level prices for my web design services that I believe are unlikely to be beaten.

I can deliver a bespoke, fully responsive CMS website for as little as £900 (plus VAT) which includes a domain name, email accounts, tuition on how to update your website, plus 6 months hosting and personal support. My ecommerce websites start at just £1,500 (plus VAT) with the same inclusive services provided.

Website builders

If you’re thinking that website builders like WIX, IONOS or Squarespace won’t charge anything like this to get you up and running, you’d be correct. But they will charge you monthly fees that will soon add up. What’s more, you’ll have a website that looks and feels like thousands of other sites out there… and you’ll have to devote hours of your time building all this yourself, instead of focussing on your business.

If you’re still to be persuaded, bear in mind the website you painstakingly build yourself isn’t actually yours. If you stop your subscription, your website is gone. With a website designed and built by Riflebird, the website is yours to keep. So, if you’re not happy with the hosting services I provide, I’ll happily send you the database, files and images that make up your website and you’re free to take it elsewhere.
